The maritime industry is a complex service industry with a supportive chain of services necessary to generate a country's international trade flow. In addition to the shipping, transportation and port services involved, other support services directly and indirectly include shipbuilding, shipping, maritime insurance, international bank affairs, ship brokers, wharfs, warehouses, haulage and more. The program aims to produce graduates with academic and career-oriented skills to meet industry, research and education needs.
General University Requirements

Passed the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia or credit in Malay / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper;
and
Obtain a Diploma or other equivalent equivalent recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the IPTA Senate;
or
Pass the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) examination in 2010 or earlier with at least;
and
or
Pass the Matriculation examination in 2010 or earlier with a minimum CGPA of 2.00;
and
Earned at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
