Course Overview

This internationally-recognised diploma equips you with the knowledge and technical skills for an exciting career in the electrical and electronics industry by employing a problem-based industrial approach to train you to effectively design, build and test electrical and electronic devices.

Graduates of this programme are qualified to continue into a degree programme at Nilai U or with our reputable partner universities. The broad-based modules give you the flexibility to pursue a degree in various other areas of engineering specialisations such as aerospace, computer systems, electrical and electronic, and many more.

Curriculum

* Pengajian Malaysia 2 is for local students while Bahasa?Melayu Komunikasi 1 is for international students.

Entry Requirements

• SPM/O-Level : 3Cs including Mathematics and 1 Science/Technical/Vocational subject AND pass English
• UEC: 3Bs including Mathematics and 1 Science/Technical/Vocational subject AND pass English
• Vocational or Technical Certificate: CGPA 2.00 and 1 year’s working experience in related field or completed 1 semester of academic enhancement programme
• Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology (MQF Level 3): CGPA 2.00

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT (for international students)*

• IELTS: 5.0 OR
• TOEFL: 500 (PBT)/ 61 (iBT) OR
• Pearson: 36 OR
• MUET: 3

*International students with qualifications from educational systems where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement.

International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirement may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University which builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the TOEFL / IELTS examination.
