Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP) 2016 Intake Now Open

The June 2016 intake for Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP) is now open. Interested candidates are invited to apply online at . The application period begins on 10 March 2016 at 12.00pm and ends on 27 March 2016, 11.59pm.

What is PISMP?
PISMP is a bachelor’s degree programme (with honours) offered by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia at selected Teacher Training Institutes or Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) throughout the country. The programme prepares candidates for a teaching career in various specialisations at public primary schools.
Successful candidates will first undergo a preparatory programme called Program Persediaan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PPISMP) for 12 months (two semesters) at an IPG determined by the Ministry.
Candidates who pass the preparatory programme will be awarded a PPISMP certificate of completion and be offered to pursue PISMP for four years (eight semesters) at an IPG determined by the Ministry.
Both PPISMP and PISMP are conducted full-time.

General entry requirements
Applicants must be Malaysian citizens and not more than 20 years old on 30 June 2016 (i.e. born on or after 30 June 1996).
Applicants must be in good health and active in co-curricular activities.
Applicants must have passed SPM with:
- a distinction (cemerlang) in any five subjects
- at least a credit (kepujian) in Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah
- a pass in English
Applicants must also meet the specific requirements of the specialisation they are interested in (more information available when you apply online).
