SEGi CELEBRATES A MOMENTOUS MILESTONE – 45 YEARS OF EVOLUTION
May 11, 2022 | Campus News2022 is a momentous year for SEGi University & Colleges. The institution was founded in 1977 under the name Systematic Business Training Centre and has since become one of Malaysia’s premier private higher education providers.
This achievement is even more significant as this year marks SEGi’s 45 years of solid presence in the past and present and the start of a new chapter in our continued commitment to offer quality education within reach of willing minds and natural talents.
SEGi is now home to approximately 20,000 students across five campuses in Klang Valley, Penang and Sarawak. The institution also has a significant ratio of international students from nearly 100 countries.
Over the last four decades, SEGi has been dedicated to providing quality employability-based international programmes on accessible terms, delivered through innovative technologies and student-centric learning techniques.
Leveraging its solid foundation, SEGi is moving towards digitalisation, diversification, and globalisation, adapting to constant market changes in today’s digital era. The institution will continue to develop effective compliance, enhance its sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts to benefit future generations.

1995??? Systematic Education Group Berhad listed on the KLSE Second Board
2001??? Merged with PRIME Group
2002??? Rebranded as SEG International Berhad or SEGi
2003 ?? Received KLSE Corporate Excellence Award
2004 ?? Transferred to the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
2006 ?? Repositioned all campuses as “SEGi College”
2007 ?? Established SEGi College Kota Damansara campus
2008 ?? SEGi College Kota Damansara upgraded to University College status
2010 ?? Launched BSc. in Medicine, BSc. in Surgery (MBBS) and optometry
