23 Brand New Programmes Launched At First City UC

First City University College is expanding and there is nothing to stop us from achieving our vision: to provide quality education and the best teaching and learning environment with the aim of equipping our graduates with relevant skills necessary to launch their successful careers upon graduation. Taking into account the current challenging economic landscape, First City UC is offering these at competitive and affordable fees without anyone having to break the bank! Over 27 years, we have produced outstanding graduates who benefited from the combination of our specially-designed programmes taught by very capable and attentive teaching staff, collaborations with reputable foreign universities and industry partners, ample teaching and learning facilities offered together with wholesome student life experience.

In keeping up with the latest industry trends and the ever changing workplace demands, First City UC is proud to announce the introduction of 12 new programmes to add to the existing ones offered in various disciplines under its 3 faculties – Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Faculty of Design & Built Environment and Faculty of Engineering & Computing. In developing these exciting new courses, our dedicated academicians identify potential emerging markets and industry needs based on surveys, insights and consultation with various industry key players and experts. Using this information, we come up with specially-designed programmes filled with comprehensive modules to equip our graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge required in their future professions. These programmes are designed with the employers’ needs in mind and taught by academics with years of experience both in teaching and industry; all to ensure our students are able to secure jobs which are really needed in the industry, and provide them with the upper hand to kick-start their careers immediately upon graduation. List of the new programmes is as follows:

Apart from the academic modules, students are expected to take part in extracurricular activities which include study visits to companies in the relevant industries of their programmes, working on community projects and organising team building events. These activities provide students with opportunities to experience holistic education and acquire life-long skills such as communication, organisation and problem-solving which have become very important qualities much in demand by employers and companies.

Students are welcome to visit the campus during our next Open Day on 12, 13, 19 and 20 August from 10 am to 6 pm. Registration is open for intakes in August, September and October 2017 for the above new programmes and various others at Diploma and Degree levels. Students who register before 14 August are entitled to enjoy the limited 50% Early Bird discount off their tuition fees*. Visitors will be able to check out First City UC’s new facilities and meet our academic staff to get in-depth information about our programmes, and enquire about scholarships, incentives and tuition fee waivers during the Open Day. Our attentive counsellors are available to attend to any enquiries during our Extended Counselling which lasts until 27 August 2017.
