KUALA LUMPUR:? SEGi University & Colleges is pleased to announce the appointment of Datuk Mohamed Azahari Kamil as its President effective 4 January 2016.?
Prior to SEGi, Datuk Mohamed Azahari was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Asian Finance Bank (AFB) for the last eight (8) years, being the first Malaysian appointed to hold that position in a Middle Eastern bank.?
He is a Chartered Banker of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers as well as a Chartered Professional in Islamic Finance. He is also a Board member of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He is also appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education on the CEO Faculty Program Adjunct Professor and Distinguished Fellow for Public Universities.?
He is currently the Chairman of the Crescent Wealth International Advisory Board Malaysia, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Crescent Funds Australia Limited.
SEGi University is one of the largest private listed university with five (5) campuses nationwide with a student population of 27,000.
