Education Ministry Focuses On Preserving Tamil Language Among Indian Students
October 20, 2015 | National NewsKUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- The Education Ministry will strive to focus on preserving the Tamil language among Indian students to enable them to benefit from their mother tongue.
Deputy Education Minister P. Kamalanathan said hence the learning of Tamil language would be enhanced from the educational aspect of the Indian community.
"At present nearly 10,000 students are studying the Tamil language with 50 per cent of them receiving their education in the classroom as well as outside it," he told reporters after attending the pre-launching of 200 years of Tamil language education in Malaysia event that would be held on Wednesday here today.
